Dean has been with the company since 2014 having been in the industry since 1986 he brings a wealth of knowledge both in forklift trucks and materials handling in general. Predominantly spending most of his career as a service engineer but also spent a number of years in the middle east on Materials Handling equipment supporting technically and hands on a Fleet of Reach Stackers for the American Army. With the restructure of the company in 2018 he has taken up the roll of General Manager bringing structure and leadership with an easy going approach he feels that allowing people to work as individuals brings out the best in people.
Joanna has been with the company for 10 years but first dedicated her career to our original team in 1995. She loves a winter's night with a glass of wine and her dogs and a summer's day on a sun lounger with a glass of wine (I think you can see a common theme with her hobbies). She also loves a weekend city/coastal break and catching up with friends. She is a vital part of this team and her hard work over many years is greatly appreciated.
Nicola has been with the company since 2017. She started her working life at Gala Bingo at the young age of 18 (I wish that there was a bingo pun in there). She loves to socialise and spend time with her family. Nicola processes our service sheets and organises transports for our equipment. She is a hard-working individual and a beacon of positivity in the group.
Phil has been with Rack-N-Stak for 9 and a half years now and is one of the longest serving members of the team. He was previously in sales for Jungheinrich and STILL for a total of 5 years. Phil enjoys going Cycling and Running whenever possible. Phil is always giggling away with everyone here and we appreciate his positive attitude and his enormous work-ethic.
Dave Bertram has been with us for 10 years and is one of the starting team members since we have reopened. He also worked at STILL for 8 years and another 7 years with the original Rack-N-Stak. Dave tells us that he is a ‘top’ golfer with a 4 handicap, a top dog walker (if that is a thing), heavy drinker and a sucker for junk food. Dave loves meeting all the new clients as part of his job on the road. Dave’s experience is unmatched and he is of great value to us.
Tom is the youngest member of the team and has been with us since 2019. He’s alright.
Leigh has been with the company since 2011 and is in our workshop every single working day without fail. He has a Level 3 NVQ in Construction Plant Maintenance and has been on several thorough courses for Forklifts. His interests are TV, Gaming, and watching films. He supposedly won the award for “best looking lad” at Rack-N-Stak but lost his certification. Leigh gives his best everyday to this company and his work doesn’t go unnoticed.
Ken is the Head of the Parts Department and has been with us for 4 years. He was previously with STILL for 6 years in their Parts Department. He enjoys going for walks with his dogs, Shooting and a bit of D.I.Y. Ken organises all the parts for our engineers and workshop to ensure a fast service. Please do not call Ken to build your IKEA furniture, he has no idea either.
Glen has been with us since 2010 but was originally a member of the team starting in 1992. He loves playing golf (he didn’t tell me about his handicap) and Coaching in Junior Football in his spare time. Glen is one of the longest serving members of our team. He is one of our senior engineers and his knowledge is a great asset to this team. I'm pretty sure Glen knows more about trucks than the manufacturers themselves.
Martin has been with the company for just over a year now but he arrives with a large amount of experience under his belt. He has been to Linde, Haydock Lift Services, Windsor and HG Wood over a period of over 10 Years. He is a PYROBAN Certified engineer and has many Specialist Certifications. He is a lifelong St Helens Rugby Supporter and also loves playing golf .Martin commented the following; “Rack-n-Stak give me the freedom to carry out my jobs in a professional and safe manner and allow me to interact with many different customers from a variety of different sectors over a range of different areas”. We think that Martin has a first-class attitude and it shows in his work.
Jamie has been with the company for just over 6 years. He won the FLTA Apprentice of the Year with ourselves in 2015 and has progressed as an engineer ever since. He previously worked as a forklift engineer, on the railways and welfare cabin builder. He enjoys fixing new machines as he learns even more and loves motorbikes. Unsurprisingly, Jamie’s favourite thing about his job is “saving the day” which gives you an indication of the comedy skills we as a team deal with on a day-to-day basis.
